The PARI BOY Classic is the successor to the Turbo Boy SX

The inhaler is quickly ready for use. Included in the delivery are: the compressor, the PARI Sprint nebulizer, which in turn consists of the lower and upper parts of the nebulizer, as well as the blue nozzle attachment, a mouthpiece, and the sufficiently long hose.

After assembling the nebulizer from four parts and connecting the hose to the compressor and nebulizer, the nebulizer can be "parked" in a holder on the compressor. After opening the lid of the nebulizer, the inhalation solution can be filled in. When the lid of the nebulizer is closed again, the device is ready for inhalation.

Function

The PARI BOY Classic is designed for users who value short inhalation times and need the active ingredient in the lungs.

To enable short inhalation times, a high pressure of 1.6 bar and thus a powerful compressor is necessary. It is obvious that such a strong compressor is rather louder than weaker models. Therefore, PARI invested considerable effort in effective noise reduction and succeeded because the Classic is 20% quieter than its predecessor, the Turbo BOY SX.

The LC Sprint nebulizer comes with the blue insert. This produces particles so small that they and the active ingredients reach the lungs. Small particles lead to a longer inhalation time. The blue nozzle achieves an optimal compromise among the requirements: lung-penetrating particles, short inhalation time, and good noise reduction.

For a compressor nebulizer, the noise level of 54dB (manufacturer's specification) is very low. Respect for the performance of the PARI product developers and engineers grows even more when comparing the compressor pressure with that of other quieter competitor compressors. The PARI compressor achieves a significantly higher pressure, which is an important factor for inhalation duration and aerosol particle size.

Between 2 and 8 milliliters fit into the LC Sprint nebulizer. The particle size (MMAD) with the blue nozzle insert is 3.8 µm. The respirable fraction or lung-penetrating fraction is almost 62%. This means this portion has a diameter smaller than 5 µm. 22% of the aerosol has a diameter under 2 µm. Thus, about 40% remain between 2 µm and 5 µm. The treatment focus is on respiratory diseases such as chronic or acute bronchitis or asthma (without severe obstruction).

For the small particles to reach the lungs, the breathing speed is important. If breathing is too fast, the particles are thrown prematurely against the walls of the airways.

Because of the integrated training tool (PIF-Control), the speed when inhaling is limited. If the user breathes too quickly, resistance builds up, indicating that the breathing pace should be reduced. This way, the user soon learns the ideal breathing technique. Thanks to PIF-Control, the quality of inhalation is ensured because the inhaler can hardly be used incorrectly. PIF-Control makes it easier to achieve the optimal result during inhalation.
