Breathe easier with the RC-Cornet PLUS respiratory therapy device

In chronic diseases of the lower airways, there is an increased production of bronchial mucus. Shortness of breath, chronic cough, and frequent respiratory infections are among the consequences.

The RC-Cornet® PLUS respiratory therapy device counteracts this: It generates an oscillating positive expiratory pressure (OPEP) during exhalation, widens the airways and reduces shortness of breath. Additionally, it effectively loosens bronchial mucus and thus reduces coughing. During use, the entire exhaled air is used to clean the airways.

Respiratory therapy with the RC-Cornet® PLUS leads to a noticeable improvement in symptoms in patients with these chronic lower airway diseases after a short, regular application period:

The RC-Cornet® PLUS is an advancement of the RC Cornet®. It features many innovative elements that simplify everyday use.

Modern design and innovative features characterize the RC-Cornet® PLUS:

• During therapy, sounds are produced that give patients feedback on correct usage.
• The setting of two treatment modes and four different resistances each allows for highly individual therapy - regardless of the degree of exhalation performance.
• The new inhalation valve enables inhalation and exhalation through the device without removal.
• Through the integrated nebulizer connection, respiratory therapy and inhalation therapy can be performed simultaneously (combination therapy), improving medication deposition and shortening therapy duration.

Widen airways and relieve shortness of breath

In setting 1 of the RC-Cornet® PLUS, a steady expiratory pressure with vibrations is generated during exhalation ("stabilizing OPEP"). Narrowings are opened, and parts of the alveoli are ventilated again. This reduces shortness of breath!

Loosen secretions in stubbornly mucus-filled bronchi

In setting 2 of the RC-Cornet® PLUS, a slowly increasing pressure is built up during exhalation, which then suddenly drops ("mobilizing OPEP"). This loosens and liquefies stubborn and thick secretions from the bronchial walls. The mucus is then transported upwards, towards the mouth, and can be coughed up more easily.

Prevent exacerbations and reduce susceptibility to infections

By widening the airways and loosening stubborn bronchial mucus, the cough becomes "productive" (promoting secretion) and can fulfill its cleaning function again. As a result, the cough reflex is alleviated, and the risk of respiratory infections and frequent hospital stays is reduced.<
